Statement
Our vision for New Life Christian Fellowship centers around our understanding of what God has called the local congregation to do on his behalf in our world.  It is our desire to fund a church in eastern Marion and western Hancock counties that is built on the following principles:
WE BELIEVE THAT THE CHURCH SHOULD BE EVANGELIC IN NATURE
We believe that the church exists to carry out The Great Commission, to spread the Good News of the Gospel to all people.  We desire to be a church that:

· Makes a conscious effort to win people to Christ and unashamedly presents the message of salvation
· It constantly sensitive to the needxs of the community, with an eye to meet those needs in the name of and for the glory of Jesus Christ.
· Is intentional in its mission giving and missionary outreach.
WE BELIEVE THAT THE BIBLE IS:
The sole authority for understanding God's will for our lives and for the church.

The inspired word of God, given to all peoples for the purpose of revealing God's character, calling people to a relationship with God, as well as indentifying the essentials of the Christian faith and guiding believers in all aspects of daily living.

We affirm the responsibility of each believer to study the Scriptures, and grow in biblical understanding based upon personal reflection/meditation with the Holy Spirit's guidance.
WE BELIEVE THAT THE CHURCH:
· Consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior
· Is relational, in that it is God's provision for nurturing and encouraging believers in the Christian experience through their association with fellow believers.
· Exists for ministry, and as such should have an emphasis on church ministry and not on church government.
· Committee work should be kept to the minimum necessary to accomplish the mission of the Church.  Committee work should be meaningful and used used to facilitate the ministry of the church, and should always focus on doing the work of Christ.
· Has the responsibility to teach the biblical basis for church finance, including tithing and faith giving.
· We believe that pastoral staff should be professional and accountable to the local church.
· The church should maintain a growth emphasis, expanding to meet the needs of the church body and local community in a manner that is Christ honoring staff positions, satisfying multiple ministry needs of the church body.
WE RECONGNIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF WORSHIP IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE.
Worship is our intentional focusing upon the worthiness of God.  Worship is the focus of one's private devotional time as well as the purpose for joining with others in weekly church services.  The goal of our worship is to offer praise and experience God in an atmosphere of joyous celebration.

Therefore we desire worship that:
· Is strongly rooted in Bible teaching and preaching
· Incorporates a strong music ministry, including the use of traditional music, contemporary music and praise hymns.
· Is spiritual in essence but not charismatic in practice. (We acknowledge the special gifts of the Holy Spirit, however we do not desire to participate in speaking of tongues, etc. during the worship time.)
WE DESIRE TO BE A CHURCH THAT CELEBRATES FAMILY LIFE.
A full program should be provided to meet the needs of all family members.  Our family programs will include traditional, blended, single, single parent, empty nesters seniors and widow/widowers families.  Our vision includes:
-An aggresive youth and children's ministry.
-A strong Bible centered Christian education program.
     -Vacation Bible Times Experience
-Discipleship ministries and small group oppurtunities.
     -Recreational ministry -youth and adult.
     -Camping and retreat experiences.
WE BELIEVE THAT CHURCH MEMBERSHIP INVOLVES RESPONSIBILITES
Personal spiritual growth through regular Bible study, meditation and prayer.

Participation in weekly worship services on a regular basis.

Excercising spiritual gifts within a specific area of involvement in the church (personal participation in the ministries of the church).

Honoring the Lord through responsibility stewarship.
